The period of the rental was June through November 2013. However, the Bureau of Solid Waste, Landfill Management did not return the equipment to the vendor at the end of the six month rental period, and instead, continued to use the equipment for another two months. This resulted in rental invoices for the two additional months, December 2013 to January 2014, and January to February 2014. In addition, Hertz issued two invoices for repairs to the dump truck’s tires that were required while it was in use at the landfill.
